Lost your fitness mojo?
If you want an affordable personal fitness plan, and welcome the chance to train with other people, then group PT is for you.
You’re not alone if you’ve been struggling to find the time and motivation to maintain your fitness during this lockdown.
Perhaps it is time to reconsider online exercise and particularly a new hybrid - Group PT.
What is Group PT?
Group PT combines the benefits of personal training with all the social aspects of group exercise.
You get a personalised fitness plan and two group training sessions a week along with the support and motivation to keep going.
How much does it cost?
The best place to start is with an 8 Week Group PT plan which usually costs £99 but is on special offer for £79 until Sunday 28th March 2021 (and places are limited), it includes:
60-minute online fitness consultation
A personalised fitness plan including weekly exercise targets, self-led sessions, core exercises and stretching routines
2 x 30-minute online Group PT sessions a week
Guidance on improving your overall fitness
Weekly progress check ins
Access to other online exercise classes
What happens in a Group PT session?
Group PT online sessions are 30 minutes long and include some core, balance and reactive exercises, some resistance work and/or some cardio and agility work. We finish with a cool down and stretch. To make the most of each session you will arrive stretched and ready for the work – don’t worry I go through what this means at your assessment.
Where do the Group PT sessions take place?
For the time being, all Group PT activities are online, but with spring just around the corner and a relaxation in lockdown restrictions not far off, I know we’ll be getting together for real very soon. When this happens, I anticipate starting with a blend of online and outdoor sessions in south Manchester.
How many people will be in my group?
Anywhere between 1 and 5 - the maximum number of people in any online Group PT session will be 5.
Will people in my PT group all be at a similar level to me?
Yes, your group will be broadly at the same level of experience and fitness as you.
What happens when I achieve my fitness goals?
We celebrate and then set some new ones.
Are there different groups to choose from?
The groups are based on experience and levels of fitness. You can choose 2 from 3 possible training times for your level each week.
Do I have to pay again when I want a new programme?
For every 8 weeks of Group PT you complete you can have an assessment and your plan updated.
What’s the difference between Group PT online and online classes?
With Group PT you get personalised fitness advice and training along with the motivation that comes from getting individual attention and being part of community. Classes are a great way to workout with other people but are not necessarily designed specifically for you.
